AUGH. So you might have noticed that my site and I have been gone for bleeding ever. I've figured out a temporary solution to my site hosting issues, but images are not working yet. I'm trying, I am, and when I get back and out from under this anvil of real life tenderizing my ass, I shall be putting up at least one new UTT. See? I'm NOT abandoning it! waiting still on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at 11:14 p.m. I know, I know, I've been away for AGES. I'm sorry, guys, but I've got IRL stuff to deal with. There will be more updates- I haven't abandoned the site, don't worry- but not until I have less on my plate. Just to clarify, this is now going to be for the site updates and the LJ is going to be for my personal stuff. If you don't care about one or the other, you now know where to find it. Off to get rid of this headache, now... waiting still on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 04:57 p.m. Gift for RackhamRose finished. Is here. Site updated to reflect new addition later. I fall over sleep now. Yes. waiting still on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 01:22 a.m. The trees are almost bare now and the leaves on the ground have lost their vibrant color. As I was walking back from class I watched from the top of a hill as the wind whisked them over the crest like a tiny, spinning brown stampede. Even all my hair isn't keeping my head warm now. I have a distinct urge to hibernate. waiting still on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 12:32 p.m. So I'm studying the origins of kabuki acting techniques, and I come across a description of the Fudou aspect of Buddha (i.e., the fearsome/warlike aspect). He's ringed in fire and stands on a rock and has a demon-smiting sword and everything, but what got me was that he "carries [...] a rope to pull terrified believers into paradise." And I SWEAR to you, all I could think of was Yosemite Sam going, "You're comin' to heaven with me, varmint!" My brain needs a swift kick, I think. In this same article is a quoted passage by Hisamoto Shimazu about the test of strength between two characters and the display of strength of the hero, which includes this gem: One after another there appeared on Asahina's arms power sinews, evidence of his great strength. The power hair that grew on his chest bristled like bronze needles from the surface of a go board. The sinews on his body rose to his forehead. The sinews on his forehead moved down his body. ...wonder if I could swing a paper about how Dragonball is an expression of kabuki in anime, because that whole thing sounds disturbingly familiar. Well, except for ::snickers:: "power hair." Snerk. waiting still on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 08:27 p.m. So my site's images are most definitely being leeched, and sadly it took THIS LONG for me to be able to do anything about it. Hush. Thus, if anyone goes to the site now and notices some really out of place images, fear not. I put them there. Shitheads. >____< Also thus, if anyone sees someone with an image stating that it is being leeched from isako.org, let them know they're a prick, please, and I wouldn't mind the opportunity to rip them a new asshole if you drop me a heads-up. This is the second time this has happened, and I am not pleased in the least. Go forth, little ones, and kill. KILL! waiting still on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 01:10 a.m. |
Himemiya Anthy of Shoujo Kakumei Utena. Beautiful, broken, and far more than she seems. If you haven't seen this series, do so immediately. It is more than worth it, all told.
